The Gold Country ~ Amador, Calaveras & Tuolumne counties

Recreation & Outdoor Adventures

In California’s Gold Country there are spectacular vistas to enjoy and photograph in the national forests and public lands, whitewater for rafting, lakes for fishing, forests to hike, mountains to bike and ski, birds and wildlife to watch, caves to explore and, of course, streams to pan for gold. Here are the Gold Country’s best, followed by a list of spa recommendations and great restaurants.
